What are study programmes for School leavers?

These are publicly funded programmes of learning for 16–19-year-olds. Access is based upon prior attainment and educational/career aspirations.There will be completion of various subject units, qualifications and work experience to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.

What courses are available?

Level 2 Sports Coaching and Instructing
This one-year course also includes Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 2 Multi-Skills Coach, as well as being an excellent progression route to Level 3.
Level 3 Diploma in Sports Coaching and Fitness
A progression route to the Extended Diploma, this programme also focuses upon providing exceptional work experience opportunities with the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation.
Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport
For those looking to progress to Higher education.

Who is eligible?

Anyone aged between 16 and 18 at the start of the course and capable of attaining Level 2 English and Maths by the end.
